For decades, HBCU advocates have raised concerns about chronic underfunding. Now, Florida A&M University students are getting another opportunity to make their case in court.

A federal appeals court ruled on Tuesday that a lawsuit alleging Florida underfunded FAMU by nearly $2 billion over the past 30 years can move forward, giving plaintiffs the chance to present evidence supporting claims of discrimination. [bloomberglaw]

Back in 2021, Maryland agreed to compensate their four HBCUs a total of $577M after decades of underfunding. We've highlighted dozens of land grant institutions that have similar underfunding claims, so what are your thoughts on the ruling?
