Last night, Mike Teichberg represented AJC - American Jewish Committee Miami & Broward at the Youth Hate Crimes Leadership Program Graduation hosted by the Urban League of Broward County.

The evening brought together community leaders and partners committed to combating hate and empowering the next generation of changemakers. Speakers included Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Veronica Walker, Captain Renea’ Wilborn-Peterson, and Evan Goldman from the Jewish Federation of Broward County.

We were especially proud to celebrate alongside AJC Broward Venture Council member Jeanine Karp, whose leadership and service on the Urban League of Broward County Board reflects the power of partnership and coalition-building across our community.

Congratulations to Fallon Johnson and the graduates for their dedication, leadership, and commitment to building stronger and more inclusive communities. Your work gives all of us hope for the future.

AJC is proud to stand alongside our partners in the fight against hate and antisemitism through education, advocacy, and relationship-building across South Florida.

Yesterday, AJC Miami & Broward was honored to join the City of Miami Government for its Jewish American Heritage Month proclamation ceremony, organized by our partners at JCRC of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, alongside ADL, Jewish Community Services of South Florida (JCS), and 3GMiami.

We were proud to stand with members of our leadership and community in recognition of the enduring impact of Jewish Americans—here in Miami and across the United States.
Jewish American Heritage Month, established through bipartisan leadership in Congress and first proclaimed in 2006, celebrates the extraordinary contributions of Jewish Americans to our nation’s culture, science, public service, civil rights, and civic life.

In Miami, generations of Jewish leaders and innovators have helped shape the fabric of our community—strengthening its cultural institutions, advancing philanthropy, and building a more vibrant, inclusive city. Across the country, Jewish Americans have played a vital role in advancing progress and justice in countless fields.

We thank Mayor Eileen Higgins and the City of Miami Commissioners for recognizing these contributions and for their continued commitment to inclusion, education, and unity.
At a time of rising antisemitism globally, Jewish American Heritage Month is both a celebration and a call to action—to deepen understanding, foster connection, and stand together across communities.

As we celebrate Jewish American Heritage Month, AJC’s Brian D Siegal reminds us that identity and pride should never be overshadowed by fear.
At a time of rising antisemitism, it’s more important than ever to stand strong, speak out, and show up—openly and confidently—as who we are.

Today marks 61 years of diplomatic relations between Israel and Germany.

AJC was the first American Jewish organization to establish a post-Holocaust presence in Germany and open AJC Berlin.

We join all Israelis and Germans in celebrating this milestone!
