Referring to carbon pollution, the number “350” is what scientists consider a safe level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere (last seen in 1988). In 2013, the level surpassed 400 ppm (parts per million). Greenhouse gases continue to rise at alarming rates, and this trend must be reversed.

The members of 350 South Florida organize around climate change issues locally, and we advance the goals of the international movement 350.org in the South Florida region. Our members come from all walks of life and are firmly committed to non-violent social change. Membership is open to all. Our parent organization is 350.org, a non-profit that is building a global movement to solve the climate crisis. Growing stronger daily, the 350 family is active in 188 countries.
