Team SOS consists of Breast Cancer Survivors and their supporters from the Miami-Dade area.

Save Our Sisters (SOS) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and South Florida’s first breast cancer survivor (BCS) dragon boat racing team.

After 3 weeks of our Wednesday’s night practice being canceled due to bad weather it was great to get back on the water and paddle during a Miami sunset. 🌅🛶🐉

Members of SOS kicked off breast cancer awareness month by attending the Cancer Link today. The Cancer Link is an all-volunteer non-profit organization in Miami that raises critical funds for breast cancer research, education, early detection, and community outreach at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. We celebrated the founder’s 90th birthday, enjoyed a nice lunch, silent auction, a raffle, and a fashion show. Thank you Cancer Link for a lovely event. 🥰

Our annual United Breast Cancer Foundation (UBCF) gift bag/recruitment event took place at the Shops at Merrick Park on Friday. Thank you to all the ladies that stopped by, the staff of the Shops at Merrick Park, and Mike Reid for coming to the rescue with an extra vehicle to help take the gift bags. The first batch of bags were distributed to team members at Saturday’s practice. 🐉🛶💪🌺💐

on the tragic loss of her son, Tito. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family at this difficult time.
