If you’re part of a theme camp - Please disregard! If you’re not, please read on…

Your Placement Team is so glad to have everyone coming, but before we can do that, we need to be organized! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read this email in its entirety, click all the links, and SHARE SHARE SHARE information with all of your fellow Open Campers!

🚌PART ONE: OPEN RV CAMPING

* RV Passes *

- Make sure your pass matches your RV or Travel Trailer

- If towing a trailer, you will receive a Split RV Pass at check-in and the tow vehicle or external trailer towed by the RV (say for Mutant Vehicle) will have two hours to be dropped off in a parking spot with pass displayed

- Please be a good Burner and utilize the beds in your RV or travel trailer - two people coming in separate RV’s take up extra precious space!!

* Placement Gate Arrival *

- After check-in, please proceed to Zone 12 Placement Queue - a parking attendant will let you know when you're allow to go to the gate

- All RVs, tow vehicles, and travel trailers will be searched by an attendant or security officer prior to entering the placement gate - they will be conducting the search of the following:

- - looking at all wristbands and parking passes

- - verifying you do not have any of the following onboard: pets, fireworks, and fi****ms (the three big “no no’s”)

- Once you’re checked off, a guide will then take you to your designated spot - you must be guided

- If you’re traveling with another RV or travel trailer, that person must be directly behind you and you must let the guide know if you would like to be placed together

- Placement together might not always be guaranteed if the rigs are vastly different sizes - we must make room for everyone. Think of it as a giant game of Tetris!

- No saving spots for people arriving late

* Camping Spots *

- Please have practice backing up your rig prior to entering Love Burn

- Space is tight for this size event on Virginia Key and we must make room for as many campers as possible

- Tow vehicles can not stay with travel trailer and must be moved to parking within the two hour time limit or they will be towed at your expense

- The city of Miami needs to safely keep Burner Blvd (commonly known as Arthur Lamb Road) completely open as it is still open to the public between 8am and 6pm

- Meet your neighbors upon arrival

- Be courteous of your generators, A/C, and music sound levels throughout the burn

⛺️ PART TWO: OPEN TENT CAMPING

* Placement Gate Arrival *

- After check-in, please proceed to Zone 7-9 Placement Queue - a parking attendant will let you know when you're allow to go to the gate

- All vehicles will be searched by an attendant or security officer prior to entering the placement gate - they will be conducting the search of the following:

- - looking at all wristbands and parking passes

- - verifying you do not have any of the following onboard: pets, fireworks, and fi****ms (the three big “no no’s”)

- Once you’re checked off, a guide will then take you to your designated spot - you must be guided

- Please let the guide know if you’re traveling with anyone behind you so you can enter together

- Your guide will write a two hour time limit on your windshield when they take you to open camping - your car must leave the area before time is up or it will be towed at your expense

* Camping Spots *

- You will be designated one 10’x15’ marked space

- If you’re traveling with others, you may search for adjacent spots

- As a courtesy, if you’re traveling together with small “backpack” tents, please use one spot

- Practice setting up your tent and camping items ahead of time - if it doesn’t fit within that space, you must reconfigure

- Do not move or remove markers, flags, or stakes set by placement

- Please keep walkways between tents open for fire and safety reasons

- The city of Miami needs to safely keep Burner Blvd (commonly known as Arthur Lamb Road) completely open as it is still open to the public between 8am and 6pm

- Meet your neighbors upon arrival

- Be courteous of your generators, A/C, and music sound levels throughout the burn

- Vehicles with roof top tents are considered a small RV and require a RV Pass and be placed in Open RV

- Car camping is reserved for those with special medical needs and also need to fill out the RV pass form

❤️‍🔥 PART THREE: IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL LOVE BURN PARTICIPANTS

* Placement Gate Hours *

- Thursday 8:00am - 10:30pm
- Friday 8:00am - 7:00pm, 11:00pm - 12:30am
(CLOSED Fri 7-11pm for parade and Space Opera at the Burn Field!)
- Saturday 8:30am - 1pm

- You may still check-in and receive all of your credentials from 10:30pm until check-in closes, but you will not be allowed to drive in and set up camp until Placement is open the next day

- Accommodate for potential lines at check-in

- Earlier you arrive in the day, the more time you get to setup during daylight hours

- Parking will be located at Miami Marine Stadium this year

- Download the map to your Google Maps app on your phone prior to arrival

- Learn this map - it will help you navigate the burn like a boss!

- Check in with your friends to see if they have also done the same and they know approximately where they are going prior to arrival

- Please remember this is a volunteer run Burn

- With your volunteer hours, we’ll all have a better time, maybe get some extra killer Burner swag, and make a ton of new friends!

Hello Theme Camp Organizers!

All Theme Camp Organizers, we’re almost there! Your Placement Team is so glad to have everyone coming, but before we can do that, we need to be organized! Please read this post in its entirety, click all the links, and SHARE SHARE SHARE information with your Theme Campers. I know, ITS LONG AS CAN BE!

Work Access Pass (WAP):
- Each person must have both an event (Sparkle Galactica) and a WAP ticket to receive both wristbands
- Both wristbands must be visible at all times
- No one can enter before the Entry Date stated on the WAP ticket
- Just as event ticket codes are unique, so are WAPs and they may not be used by more than one individual

Camp Layout:
- Check ALL campmates RV and tent sizing is correct, remember to accommodate for staking and safety line needs
- Check this coincides with the layout and space request that was submitted with your theme camp application
- Check RV campers have received the appropriate sized RV pass (including towed trailers)
- Trucks and SUV’s with rooftop tents are considered small RV’s (

Hey Everyone!

We wanted to send an email to the special camps that are around the Burn field. It is a great location, but we wanted to share two items for your information.

The Friday night Sparkle Off, where the parades end up, and the fun talent competition happens, will go from 7:30 to 10:30. People will be around your camps all over the field. There is no burn on the Burn field Friday night.

We are asking, please do not play music over the Sparkle Off Opera, as the show will have microphones and its own sound and drumming.
Please adjust your schedule accordingly. After the show is over, let the cacophony resume!!

Also, due to your location, there is a chance that small embers from the fire and/or fireworks will fall out due to higher winds (which is an uncontrolled variable). It is a good practice to note the wind direction and keep some folks on ember watch. Please note the wind directions and be prepared. We rarely have an issue with this, but some of you are new to the field, and we want to give you a heads-up. Both the Sat night effigy and Sunday night Temple are not as "woody" as previous years' effigies, so we expect lower chances of embers, but winds do happen. Please let your campers know about all of this information.

As always, if the wind is too strong, this becomes a safety issue, and we will not burn the effigies during high winds. This has happened in the past. The City of Miami Fire Department determines this, and we follow their lead regarding the winds.

What do our lovely concierge do, besides have a pretty swanky title?

They’re the last face you see as you leave the Bunga Bunga Cafe and Check In. They make sure you have all of the entry, parking, and RV passes correct. They make sure you’ve seen the map and know exactly where you’re going next - specifically which gate. If you don’t know, they’ll happily show you and let you know the process.

✨ Concierge are first in line to make your placement experience smooth as can be! So make a difference, volunteer Placement Concierge! You have to admit, it sounds pretty good, right? ✨

Hey All You Burnaliens!

Have you seen the posted hours for this years Love Burn 2024: Sparkle Galactica...a space opera? If you haven't, be sure to check them out.

Friendly reminder from your Placement Team, we will be closed from 7pm to 11pm on Friday night for the Parade. We will reopen at 11 for only an hour and a half.

Please arrive early so we can see your shiny sparkling faces in the beautiful South Florida sun!

GENERAL ENTRY: Thursday, February 15.

ARTISTS & THEME CAMP BUILDERS: Can arrive Wednesday, Feb. 14th without WAP, but they must be there to build and set up art or theme camps.

WAPs will be released directly to TCOs and Artists next week. Be patient and please do NOT email us about WAPs. Thanks!

Arriving fashionably late? Keep this in mind! 🕰️ There are no after-hours services available, so try your best to arrive on time. If you find yourself at the gate after hours, you'll need to embrace the cosmic night outside the venue and wait for the gates to swing open with the morning sun. 🌄
