Something we do here at John Muir PTC is recognize ALL our volunteers, helpers, supports, etc! We keep track of all your names, we make a certificate for each of you and our PTC Cabinet signs them! Each certificate with a personal message thanking you for your contribution. This is something we take pride in doing!
WELL, tonight at the Board Meeting, the administrators selected a parent to receive the “Parent of the Year” award. We are happy to share that not one but two were recognized. Mr. Mathew Davis & Mrs. Ashlee Light-Davis were awarded for this incredible recognition!

Mrs. Ashlee Light-Davis serves as our PTC Vice President 2, not only does she advocate for our students, she is at every event! You can thank her for bringing the idea of having Family Picnic Day! It was a huge hit and a Trailblazer favorite! She is lead in command when it comes down to food sales and organization! She was our first parent to get involved with PTC, that did not work for Muir at the time. We are so honored to have her apart of our PTC.
Mr. Mathew Davis, usually voluntold by his wife to always help, but he shows up every time! Not only is he always ready to dress up as a character for Character Meet and Greet, he constantly helps behind the scenes of many events. Did we mention that he even volunteered for events that didn’t involve his own childrens’ grade level! That is true dedication for our Trailblazers and their families!
We hope a miracle happens in favor of our Trailblazers, to continue having Special Day Class(SDC) at John Muir, so we can continue to have our involved parents from their classroom next year and the years to come!
