🙏When we walk with God we experience joy.

Sometimes that walk feels easy, with fresh blessings around every corner.

But sometimes, like David wrote, that walk takes us through the valley of the shadow of death.

❤️The path doesn’t matter though. God’s presence produces joy on our best days and our worst.

🙏When we set aside the endless pursuit of more and pursue God instead, we will find him.

When we let the Holy Spirit purify our hearts, we are blessed. ❤️

When we feel poor in spirit or are mourning, we can find comfort and hope in God.

🙏The Apostle Paul knew peaceful circumstances weren’t necessarily part of the Christian life.

On his missionary journeys, Paul endured shipwrecks, imprisonment, attempts on his life and heartbreak. ❤️‍🩹

But he still had peace and joy.

☝️His secret? God’s strength. With God and his promises as a foundation, we can be filled with joy and peace on the worst of days.

☝️We know there are numerous health benefits to caring for others. For example, volunteering can reduce stress, blood pressure, and help ease loneliness.

But what are the health benefits of living in a culture where caring for others is truly prioritized by policymakers, our education system, in the workplace and at home?

💬According to clinical psychologist David Cregg, when people feel a “sense of belonging,” it can “promote healing like few other things can.”

☝️"We know there are numerous health benefits to caring for others," Nicole Karlis writes in the latest print issue of Caring.

"For example, volunteering, especially as we age, can reduce stress, blood pressure, and help ease loneliness. It is even associated with living a longer life.

🤔 "But what are the health benefits of living in a culture where caring for others is truly prioritized by policymakers, our education system, in the workplace, and at home? A culture where everybody, regardless of age, ethnicity, income status, and everything else that divides us, feels supported and like they belong.

"Researchers are increasingly arguing that a culture where institutions prioritize caring for others is not just a nice-to-have in society, but it may be the key to stronger public and societal health."

⚽️✨️Well-worn soccer and football jerseys donated to The Salvation Army found new purpose as six Los Angeles designers transformed them into original fashion pieces ahead of the FIFA World Cup.

Called the World Cup Influencer Collection, the initiative featured more than 40 one-of-a-kind fashion pieces auctioned through The Salvation Army's online thrift store during the tournament. 🙏

💬“I hope this collection helps people think differently about what they donate, buy and throw away,” Elle Walters, a participating designer said. “Clothing doesn’t have to end when someone is done wearing it. It can be repaired, redesigned, shared, transformed and loved again.”
