🌿 Our Garden is Growing!

We are so excited to share the amazing progress happening in our garden! During our recent Garden Party, we successfully planted onions, strawberries, and beans—what a wonderful hands-on learning experience for our children.

We were also blessed to gather free plant cuttings from the Merced Plant Give and Take event, sponsored by the Grange Merced with support from the UC Master Gardeners of Merced County. Thanks to this, we now have aloe and a variety of succulents added to our space!

Our garden is truly coming to life—peppers, grapes, sunflowers, mint, rosemary, lemons, and many beautiful flowers are in full bloom. These have already begun attracting birds and butterflies, turning our outdoor space into a vibrant, living classroom.

We also turned our compost that had been sitting over the winter and mixed it in to create rich, nutrient-dense soil. This has been used to support our newly planted seedlings and to nourish our established plants as we begin a new growing season.

Looking ahead, we will be planting tomatoes and more strawberries this month. We’re also excited to see last year’s orange trees and blackberry bush continuing to grow and thrive.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making our garden such a special place for learning and exploration!
