MEMPHIS!!! we’re kicking off AAPI (Asian & Pacific Islander) Heritage Month by having a dope ass time. Join API Memphis, Bao Toan, Good Fortune Co., and Kuya for a night of incredible culture and community. Expect thoughtfully crafted drinks, incredible food, DJ sets, and a room full of folks who came to celebrate our Memphis AAPI community.

A portion of proceeds benefits API Memphis and their work in advocacy, education, and community building across West Tennessee.

The month of May is designated to recognize the contributions and influence of Asian Americans and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States. To celebrate our rich and diverse cultures, we are excited to announce our 3rd Annual AAPI Heritage Month Art Contest for all students in the Memphis, TN and Shelby County, TN area. We invite your students to showcase their knowledge of AAPI heritage, the impact of AAPI culture on their lives, and their artistic abilities. The theme for this year’s art contest is UNITY - an invitation to explore connection, solidarity, and belonging across AAPI communities and beyond. Through art, students are encouraged to express what unity means to them and how AAPI cultures foster connection, resilience, and shared humanity.

October’s API Hour was all about creativity + connection. We learned the art of zine-making from Erica of , then shared mooncakes + tea to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival.

We’re excited to welcome Collage dancer, Lauren Huynh, who will teach a free 30-minute ballet class during the event—no experience needed. The rest of the time will be for casual networking.
