Shelby County Drug Court Foundation

Shelby County Drug Court Foundation This foundation supports the SCDC, an alternative to incarceration drug treatment program in Memphis.

The award-winning Drug Court has demonstrated a 25 percent recidivism rate compared to the 80 percent recidivism rate of non-drug court participants. These results have significantly impacted the reduction of crime, reduction in jail overcrowding, and savings of taxpayer dollars. The program has afforded treatment to those who may otherwise have had no opportunity for treatment and, most important

ly, has returned productive citizens to the community and to their families and friends. Donate to drug court here: https://givebutter.com/shelby-county-drug-court-support-foundation-inc

There is something special that happens when you get a group of men working out together and the energy shifts. The cheering, the yelling, and the shared grind create a single mindset and a single focused goal. Today, it was incline bench, Russian twists, incline curls, and up-down planks, but it could be any set of exercises. In that moment, they are not just lifting or grinding through core work; they are learning to show up for themselves and for each other. This kind of group effort builds accountability, confidence, and a sense of brotherhood that many of our participants have never experienced in a healthy way before.
