Branch 2689 Vice President Darren Connors presented a NALC Gold Card to retired Letter Carrier Stanley Mitlehner at tonight's membership meeting. This Gold Card celebrates and honors Stan for his fifty years of loyal membership in the NALC.

Stan began working as a letter carrier for the Postal Service in the 1970's at the Satellite Beach Post Office. Stan told a story about how he was assigned to a bicycle route for some time in Satellite Beach, which helped get his legs in great shape for playing baseball.

Stan worked in several Melbourne offices before ending up in Melbourne Beach, where he carried mail on Route 1 until he retired.

We thank you Stan for your years of service to our community and congratulate you on reaching this momentous milestone.
