In case you missed our amazing
Award's Gala.....
The Oceanside Charter Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association recently
gathered for an inspiring and memorable evening at the annual ABWA Oceanside Gala. This
special event brought together members, supporters, and community leaders to celebrate the
achievements, leadership, and impact of remarkable women within our organization.
One of the highlights of the evening was the recognition of this year’s honorees. Cindy
Grossman was named Woman of the Year, an honor that reflects her outstanding leadership,
dedication, and commitment to empowering others. Her contributions to both ABWA and the
community exemplify the mission and values of the organization.
Kristen Heath was recognized as a Top Ten Nominee, celebrating her professional
accomplishments, leadership potential, and active involvement within the chapter. Her passion
and drive continue to make a meaningful impact and inspire those around her.
Pam Lyons received the Making a Difference Award, honoring her dedication to service and her
consistent efforts to uplift others in the community. Her work serves as a reminder of the power
of giving back and leading with purpose.
The ABWA Oceanside Making a Difference Award is presented to a community leader who is making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Tonight, we celebrate a leader who embodies the very essence of what ABWA stands for—empowering women in business to turn ambition into action. This award honors a woman who has not only owned her power by defining success on her own terms, but who has also rooted for everyone around her, lifting others up and proving that success is a shared win.
Our recipient, Pam Lyons from the Brevard Schools Foundation Supply Zone, has made a profound impact in our community by showing up with authenticity, open-mindedness, and a heart, and a commitment to creating space for others to build, belong, and lead. Through her work at the Supply Zone, Pam ensures that students and teachers have the resources they need to succeed, demonstrating that leadership isn't about perfection—it's about courage, connection, and the willingness to show up for those who need it most.
This award recognizes someone who doesn't just wear one hat—she wears many—and in every role, she shows up as her full self, ready to learn, connect, and make a difference. Tonight, we honor Pam's dedication to empowering our community's students and educators and for activating ambition in everyone she touches. The evening was further enriched by keynote speaker Dr. Michael Cadore, who delivered a
powerful and motivating message centered on the theme, “She Leads, She Lifts, She Leaves a
Legacy.” His remarks encouraged attendees to embrace their leadership roles, support one
another, and focus on the lasting impact they leave behind in both their personal and
professional lives.
The ABWA Oceanside Gala was a true celebration of leadership, service, and sisterhood. It
served as a reminder of the strength and influence of women who are committed to making a
difference, and it left all in attendance inspired to continue leading, lifting, and building a lasting
legacy.
