Where else does Christmas Eve mean thousands of people gathering on the beach to watch hundreds of Santas catch waves?

What began as a small family outing in Cocoa Beach in 2009 has grown into Surfing Santas, a beloved Space Coast tradition that brings hundreds of costumed surfers and thousands of spectators together each year.

It’s fun, a little unexpected and distinctly ours. Traditions like this are part of what gives the Space Coast its character, creating the kind of community people don’t just live and work in, but genuinely enjoy being part of.

Built by innovation. Grounded in community. Florida’s Space Coast: Tomorrow Launches Here®

🚀 When aerospace, leadership, and art share the spotlight, you know it’s a TAAD Talk!

Hosted at the Sands Space History Center, TAAD featured three speakers with very different backgrounds and one thing in common: each offered a fresh way to think about the world around us.

From leadership lessons learned at sea to building courage to speak up and the impact of art on community growth, James Hinds, Megan Lewis DaSilva, and Derek Gores reminded us that innovation can come from anywhere. That’s what TAAD Talks is all about: connecting people, sparking ideas, and moving the Space Coast forward.

Thank you to our speakers and sponsors for making this such a memorable evening!
