This year’s Yom Kippur Food Drive with Temple Rodef Shalom absolutely blew us away! It was the biggest drive in the 20+ years that this wonderful tradition has been taking place. Using Share’s TWO trucks, we collected an incredible amount of food and essential items from our Most Needed List including canned goods, pasta, rice, mac and cheese, toiletries, snacks, cereal, diapers, wipes, fruit cups, and more.
We could not have managed this enormous donation without the help of our amazing Share Pantry volunteers and the many teens who gave their time throughout the multi-day event. Students from Longfellow, Cooper, Marshall, McLean, Bishop O’Connell, Flint Hill, and Gonzaga helped load and organize donations and kept everything moving.
A special shoutout to Courtney and her family who showed up in their rain jackets and stood out in the rain, making sure donations were loaded quickly and kept dry. What dedication!
Thank you for your continued support and for helping keep Share’s pantry stocked for our neighbors in need. We are incredibly grateful!
