Established in 1910, the Northwest Ohio REALTORS (previously Toledo Board of REALTORS) as over 2,000 members dedicated to serving the needs of home sellers and buyers in Toledo and the surrounding areas, including Lucas, Wood, Fulton, Henry, Defiance, Williams, Hancock, Wyandot, Paulding and Putnam Counties. The Board encourages its members to strive for the highest degree of professionalism in the industry. To facilitate home sales, the board operates a highly efficient, computerized Multiple Listing Service (MLS) with which a home can be effectively marketed to REALTOR members. In addition to providing education and marketing tools to its members, NOR also enforces the Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS which each REALTOR subscribes to when joining the association. Through political action and legislative committees, members work behind the scenes to protect the rights of all homeowners from excessive taxes, inequitable rules and unfair legislation on all levels from local to state to federal. NOR exists to help people realize the American Dream of owning a home.

The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 6.52% this week. According to Freddie Mac, stronger employment momentum has helped existing home sales reach a five-month high. Importantly, homebuyers are looking past the short-term rate fluctuations and actively entering the market, signaling renewed confidence in homeownership opportunities.
