We are so sorry to hear of Walt’s passing. A true Rotarian who will be remembered.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Walt Churchill Jr, who passed away peacefully at the age of 97.

Walt was far more than the founder of Walt Churchill's Market; he was its heart. His vision, integrity, and genuine love for people & food built something much greater than a business. He built a community.

For generations, Walt devoted himself to exceptional service, supporting local families, and creating a place that truly felt like home. The values he lived by— family, hard work, generosity and care for others are woven into everything we do, and they will continue to guide us in the years to come.

Those fortunate enough to have known Walt will carry memories of his kindness, humility, humor and wisdom. His influence reached far beyond our stores, and his presence will be deeply missed throughout the community he loved and served.

On behalf of the Churchill family and our entire team, we are grateful for every customer, neighbor, and friend who has been part of Walt's story and supported our family through the years.
While we grieve his passing, we also celebrate a life well lived.
Please keep the Churchill family in your thoughts and prayers during this time. We will share details regarding arrangements as they become available.

With love and gratitude,
The Churchill Family & the Team at Walt Churchill's Market

Thank you!
