Leah's Dream Foundation Foundation's mission is to help conduct activities and programs and other opportunities available to children and adults diagnosed with autism.

Leah's Dream Foundation is a section 501c3. Leah's Dream is set up for tribal and non tribal children and adults with autism. Leah's Dream Foundation will help conduct activities and programs that support and expand the educational, medical, rehabilitative and other opportunities available to children and adults with autism and their families. Our 12th Annual Golf Tournament is quickly approaching! So I want to take this time to ask you to please consider on sponsoring a hole or donating to our Foundation. Yesterday, I was reminded that the work we do in our community has a greater impact on the lives of those whom have autism and or those with different abilities.

We have created events such as open mic, bingo night, bowling, walking club, and our Halloween, Christmas and Spring Parties where everyone is welcome to attend. We have been able to support teachers and students in the Developmental Learning Program by paying for transportation to field trips to the Zoo, the Marysville Library, the pumpkin patch, Hibulb Cultural Center. We also have been strong supporters in the Unified Sports, Unified Prom and helping new teachers by providing the basic supplies for their classrooms. Any request we receive we try our best to make it possible!

As the Golf Tournament is our only fundraiser we try our best to get as many sponsorships as possible so we can keep doing the great work that we have been able to do for the past 12 years!

Just please know that you are supporting so many individuals and families in our community, every single dollar goes back into our community. We are a small volunteer based nonprofit and we love what we do! So please share, help spread the word. We have been down on sponsorships, especially considering we are less than a month away from the golf tournament!

It’s May 14th today is Apraxia Awareness Day! A great day to raise awareness of Apraxia - a motor speech disorder that makes it difficult for children to speak, despite knowing what they want to say. We did not know much about apraxia when we heard the word from Leah’s speech therapist, but we know that she has so much more to say than she is able to! Finding the right words are often difficult and sometimes it’s hard to understand but being patient and understanding and sometimes having a piece of paper so she can write down her words have helped us! When Leah was younger I would pray to hear her sweet voice and you know I will always cherish her voice and even though she may not have a lot of words to say I will never take her voice for granted! She’s a strong opinionated young lady who has the greatest joy of life!
