KDA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in July of 2020 to serve the Spanish-speaking and Latinx community of Snohomish County. The mission of Keep Dreams Alive Foundation is to strengthen and develop the capacity and empowerment of the Latino-Hispanic community to access education and wellness programs. In the long term, Keep Dreams Alive wants to contribute to the achievement and
success of our Hispanic community so families can thrive in the areas of education, social-emotional, and in the preservation of our culture and language. Keep Dreams Alive Foundation removes barriers to access education, legal services, and wellness. Working in tandem with community partners, KDAF seeks to support Hispanic and Latino families in Snohomish County to better navigate legal, educational, and financial systems; increase engagement within school districts; enhance self-advocacy capabilities; and strengthen stress management skills. Ultimately, KDAF strives to increase the resilience, educational attainment, and health of Hispanic and Latino families in Snohomish County. Ultimately, KDAF seeks to normalize equal dignity and equal rights so the Latino-Hispanic community no longer faces bullying, discrimination, and marginalization in societal systems.
