Good morning, everyone! We still have room in our Pilates for a Purpose class! Ladies, bring your children and come join us - There is NO cost and NO previous experience necessary! You'll be guided through the entire process!
https://forms.gle/Y5iFmYKK3S6xCq7VA

We also still have room for local vendors who wish to set up with us! If you are an independent consultant, own a small business, offer a service or craft to customers, please consider setting up with us! The vendor fee is $25 - These proceeds go towards our holiday budget to help us serve needy families this Thanksgiving and Christmas. Any profit you earn is 100% yours to keep! Come set up for mamas and their children to shop before and after the pilates class - You'll be a blessing to them!

We also still need volunteers to help us! We will have many vendors who could certainly use some extra hands to help them unload, set up, break down, and reload at the end of the event. We will also need people to assist with children's activities and supervision before, during, and after the Pilates class. If you enjoy playing with children, this is your chance to do just that while giving our local mamas some much-needed time for self-care!

Come out and join us on August 15th at the Spencer-Penn Centre for our Pilates for a Purpose fundraising event! You don't want to miss out! We hope to see you there!

💙 Happy Father’s Day! 💙

Today, we celebrate the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, bonus dads, and father figures who show up every day with love, strength, guidance, and support.

At Moms Helping Hands of Southwest Virginia, we know that strong families are built by the people who love, protect, encourage, and sacrifice for them. Whether it’s cheering from the sidelines, offering wisdom and advice, working hard to provide, or simply being present when it matters most, fathers and father figures make a lasting impact on the lives of children and families.

This collage features just a few of the incredible dads and grandads who help shape the lives of the children and families connected to our organization. We are grateful for the memories, the lessons, the laughter, and the unconditional love they share.

Today, we honor those who are with us, remember those we miss, and celebrate all the men who make a difference in the lives of children every day.

Happy Father’s Day from all of us at Moms Helping Hands of Southwest Virginia! 💙👔

Finally, for Meet the Board, we have:
Kayla Martin
Founder & President

Kayla Martin is the founder and President of Moms Helping Hands of Southwest Virginia. As a mother of three daughters, she understands firsthand both the joys and challenges that come with raising a family.
Kayla became a single teen mom at a young age and experienced many of the struggles that families face when trying to navigate difficult circumstances. Along her journey, she received support from people and programs that helped her succeed, but she also saw the gaps where families were left without the resources they needed. Those experiences planted the seed for what would eventually become Moms Helping Hands of Southwest Virginia.

Today, Kayla is a full-time Elementary Education student working toward her goal of becoming a teacher. Her passion for helping children and families extends beyond the classroom and into the community through her nonprofit work. She believes every family deserves access to support, encouragement, and resources during challenging times.

Through Moms Helping Hands, Kayla hopes to create the kind of community she wished more families had access to—a community where no parent feels alone, no child goes without, and every family is treated with dignity and compassion. Her personal experiences, combined with her dedication to education and service, continue to drive the organization’s mission of bringing hope and practical assistance to families throughout Southwest Virginia.
