Founded in 1991, the Marshfield Area Ski Touring Foundation (MASTF) was created to help promote outdoor recreation during the wintertime. Through an agreement with the School District of Marshfield, the nonprofit organization developed and manages a 12 KM trail system at Marshfield School Forest during the winter months. Today, visitors to the forest can enjoy some of the area’s best ski, snowshoe, and fatbike trails thanks to MASTF’s dedicated group of volunteers.

Marshfield School Forest - OPEN (OVERGROWN, HERO): All fallen trees have been cleared off of the ridge trails, trails are in overall good shape. Volunteers are still working on mowing and w**d wacking trails so bear with us. Not much work will get done this week with the holiday and the heat, but will go at it again next week. Enjoy the 4th! Marshfield School Forest - OPEN (WET, OVERGROWN): WET, WET, WET. reports of downed trees in some sections from the last few weeks of storms and wind. Volunteers are working to get trees cleared and trails trimmed up. Trails are rideable. Suggest, though, waiting a couple of days until things dry out. (via trailbot.com)

Marshfield School Forest - OPEN (DRY, CAUTION): Marshfield School Forest single track mountain bike trails are now open for the season. Expect some soft/wet spots in the normal areas. Lots of "debris" on the trails, Help us out by kicking them off the trail or stopping and throwing them off the trail if you can. Expect a few trees down, especially up on the ridge.
