Today, on Gold Star Mothers and Families Day, we hold close the parents, spouses, siblings, children, and loved ones whose lives were forever changed by the loss of someone who served our nation.

Their sacrifice is carried not only in memory, but in the hearts of the families who continue to honor their loved ones each day.

May we remember them, speak their names, and surround our Gold Star families with gratitude, compassion, and love—today and always.

To some, the blink of an eye.
To others, history from before they were born.
But to all of us—a day we must never forget.

And for far too many, it is not simply a moment in history. It is the day they lost someone they loved.

Today, we remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and all those who carry the weight of September 11th every day.

The children of the Massachusetts Soldiers Legacy Fund (many years ago) continue to strive, grow, and build their own paths forward, while always carrying with them the memory and legacy of their parent who lost their life in service to our country following September 11, 2001.

Their strength, perseverance, and accomplishments are a powerful tribute to the parents they honor and remember.
