Massachusetts Agriculture in the Classroom

Massachusetts Agriculture in the Classroom Connecting agriculture and educators since 1983. This is the official Massachusetts Agriculture in the Classroom page.

Massachusetts Agriculture in the Classroom is a private non-profit organization established in 1983 to provide agricultural education and training to educators. Our agricultural educational programs now reach more than 13,000 teachers and other educators annually, helping them to bring agriculture to life for their students by making the connection between the foods, fibers and other agricultural

products they use every day and their agricultural roots, while also connecting these lessons to the Massachusetts curriculum frameworks. We develop and offer workshops, conferences, summer graduate course, mini-grants, educational newsletter, curriculum and website.

Massachusetts is launching a statewide Farm and Sea to School Roadmap to guide priorities, partnerships, and investments over the next 3-5 years. This effort is being led by the Mass. Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in partnership with Massachusetts Farm to School, along with key state and community partners. The roadmap will build on the strong foundation already in place across the Commonwealth and help define how "farm to school" and "sea to school" can become more coordinated, equitable, and sustainable statewide. Your feedback is important - please take a few minutes to complete the survey (before June26th): https://bit.ly/f2s-roadmap-survey
