As we continue celebrating the launch of Novus, we're reflecting on what this evolution means to the people who have been part of our journey. For Lori Favata, our new name represents something powerful: growth, change, and the optimism that drives us forward.

While our mission has always centered on creating opportunities, fostering belonging, and supporting individuals on their path to greater independence, our new brand more clearly reflects the full scope of who we are and the impact we strive to make.

Novus is more than a new name. It symbolizes the transformation we've experienced as an organization and our commitment to continuing to evolve alongside the needs of our members, partners, and community.

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, we’re reminded that supporting mental health doesn’t end when the calendar turns. It’s a commitment we make to one another every day.

At Novus, we believe community is one of the most powerful tools we have. It’s found in the conversations that reduce stigma, the relationships that foster belonging, and the spaces we create where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.

Mental health challenges can feel isolating, but healing, hope, and progress are strengthened through connection. When we show up for one another, listen without judgment, and create opportunities for everyone to thrive, we build stronger communities for all.
