True to its nickname, America's Sports Car has always been manufactured in the United States by dedicated men and women. The first 300 production models of the 1953 Corvette were hand-built in Flint, Michigan. In 1954, production moved to St. Louis, Missouri, and later shifted to Bowling Green, Kentucky, in 1981, where it has remained ever since. This makes the Corvette the world's longest-running, continuously produced passenger car.
