A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the Annual Edward M. Smith Golf Tournament last Friday in support of the Connell F. Smith – Homer Brown Scholarship Fund. We had a fantastic turnout, for a great cause, while bringing everyone together. Because of the continued support from our golfers and sponsors, we are able to help deserving students continue their education and invest in their futures. Also, congratulations to this year's scholarship recipients! We were proud to recognize these outstanding students and present them with their scholarship certificates during the event. We are already looking forward to next year's tournament!

Public Employee Stewards, Local 773 Field Reps. and VOC members along with representatives from Hope Trust came out after work to learn how they can help their coworkers navigate more effectively their Health insurance.

Field Rep Rick Bard sat down with Investigative Team Leader and Local 773 member Tanya Wilson from the office of the inspector General to discuss the important work she supervises to investigate abuse and neglect involving individuals receiving developmental disabilities and mental health services. Tanya’s team helps bring awareness to accountability, protection, and advocacy for some of our most vulnerable folks.

Those Members who have made advance arrangements with Connie Meadows to personally pick up checks may do so before 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2026. If you have not received your check by Tuesday, 05/26/2026, please contact the Fund office at 618-998-1300. Replacement checks will not be generated until after that date.
