And just like that, Lolo and Grace are 6 weeks old!
These two girls are growing like weeds, weighing in at 8 lbs, 5 oz and 6 lbs, 8 oz! Today, they’ll receive their first DHPP vaccine and start their first round of flea and heartworm prevention. We use Revolution starting at 6 weeks.
Momma Norah is doing fantastic! She enjoys going outside just as much as she enjoys coming back in. She’s been busy teaching her girls how to play with toys and of course, how to do zoomies!
Norah goes in for her spay Thursday at Southern Winds Veterinary Services.
These girls are officially her last babies, and knowing that makes this little chapter even more special.

Dolly the Heeler wants everyone to know that she’d prefer the term “Wheeler” since she could care less about kankles but REALLY loves these round, spinny things…

Fun fact, almost every Heeler I’ve ever loved and fostered had an affinity for tires making them a better fit for either a fenced- in yard or a property with lots of acreage away from the road. In Dolly’s case, we’ll also add not to even consider trying to mow the grass with her around unless you like zig zags in your lawn.

Miss Dolly completed her heartworm treatment today and I must say, she took it like a champ! She even sat for treats from Dr Montgomery after her injection.
Heartworm is a horrible disease if left untreated. But for a young dog like Dolly, she is a strong and healthy girl who may have this on her record, but it won’t define her or affect her ability to live a long, healthy life.
We’re not afraid to take a hw+ dog, the only downside is the cost to cure them. We always follow up with a proheart-12 shot so they have extra reinforcement following treatment.
Dolly will steal her adopter’s heart like she has ours and we look forward to that day for her.❤️

Rosie is patiently waiting for her person to apply. Her foster mom tells us she talks back when they tell her “no” and although she may be deaf, she reads body language very well and just as any 2 year old would, she has something to say about it.🤭
She loves her rewards, the crunchier, the better!
Rosie is fully vetted and ready to begin the rest of her life in her forever home.

5 weeks today!!! Grace and Lolo are looking more like bear cubs than puppies these days.
Grizzly Grace weighed in at 4lbs, 9 ounces and her Polar bear twin, Lolo is 6lbs, 3 ounces. Both have found my feet and race me to the door each time it opens. it’s incredible to watch their fast development in weekly increments. These babies have a doting mama who we get to watch train them. We will keep them all together until it’s time to go home. With only having two babies to take care of, Norah isn’t as depleted or exhausted like most of our mamas are at this stage with larger litters.
