Thank you Seeds of Love Outreach and all of the loving hands that have worked so hard in donating these lovely items! There are hygiene bags, prayer boxes, and bracelets for those we serve, and some goodies for the staff! Seeds of Love Outreach have planted their seeds here and we plan to grow that love into those we serve! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

🌸 🌸 Spring Break with Purpose – One Week Away! 🌸

Join us for a meaningful morning at Fischer Park as we come together for a Trafficking Awareness Event focused on love, prayer, and encouragement.

✨ We’ll be making small gifts and sharing popsicles as we prepare items to bless the survivors living at Bluebird's Hope, Inc. Our goal is simple but powerful: to remind them they are seen, valued, prayed for, and not forgotten.

💦 It’s also opening weekend for the splash pad, so bring bathing suits and let the kids enjoy some fun after serving!

Last week, another TAASA priority bill was signed into law! 🖊
SB 608/HB 1775 – requires Sexual Assault Response Teams (SARTs) to provide data in their biennial reports about the number of sexual assault forensic exam kits that are past the statutory timelines for transfer to the crime lab. Additionally, DPS would be required to disclose this data in their annual "Statewide Electronic Tracking System Report" (Track-Kit) report to the Legislature.

Gathering this data will assist statewide efforts to ensure that evidence is processed efficiently and consistently across the state and will ultimately serve to achieve a higher level of justice for survivors in Texas.

We are excited to share that as of yesterday evening, SB 836 – Protecting Survivors’ Privacy – has been signed by the Governor! This law provides survivors safeguards during the criminal justice process, including things like requiring consent to stream their case, informing survivors of their right to use a pseudonym, and safeguarding documentation during and after forensic medical examination.

Thank you to Senator Angela Paxton and Representative Lacey Hull for advocating for survivors!
