Time for another Membership Myth Buster!

Myth #3: My Membership Dues Stay at the State Level

🚫 MYTH: All of my membership dues leave our campus.

✅ TRUTH: Your dues help at every level. A portion stays with your local PTA to support your campus, while the rest provides advocacy, training, insurance, and resources through Texas PTA and National PTA.

💙 Your membership has both a local and statewide impact.

🎉🐉 WE DID IT, DRAGONS! 🐉🎉

Long Creek High PTA has officially earned the Texas PTA Head Start Award! 🌟 We welcomed at least 85% of last year’s total membership during August — what an incredible way to kick off the 2026–2027 school year!

💚 THANK YOU to every parent, student, teacher, staff member, family member, and community supporter who has already joined. Every membership adds another voice supporting our students and helps our PTA continue building programs and opportunities at Long Creek High.

But we’re not stopping at 85%… September, we’re coming for 100%+! 🙌

Haven’t joined yet? Now is the perfect time! PTA membership is open to everyone — parents, students, grandparents, faculty, staff, and community members. You don’t have to volunteer or attend meetings to be a member. Simply joining shows that you believe in supporting every Dragon. 💙💚

Myth #2: PTA Is Just for Moms

🚫 MYTH: PTA is just for moms.

✅ TRUTH: PTA is for everyone! Dads, grandparents, guardians, teachers, staff, students, and community members all play an important role in supporting our schools. The more voices we have, the stronger we are for every child.

💙 There’s a place for everyone in PTA.
