People Serving People The Y- Men will start construction of wheelchair ramps typically starts in April and ends in September. Step 1. P.O. Box 275.

If you need a wheelchair ramp, own your residence and meet our basic requirements you may be eligible for a free ramp. YOU must take the time to request, complete and return an application for a ramp. Send a written request for a ramp application to: Y Men's Service Club. Marion, Ohio 43302

Step 2. You will be mailed a ramp application. Complete the application and return it to the address sown above. Once the completed application is received and we determine you may be eligible will visit your home to determine the ramp is doable. If it is you will be added to the list and a build date will be determined at a later date. DO NOT REQUEST AN APPLICATION THROUGH THIS SITE. IF MUST BE IN WRITING AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.

The ol' guys have been busy ordering Christmas trees that will be for sale starting November 27th. This will be our 77th annual fund raising sale.

The profits from this sale stay in Marion and will be used to help people and organizations here in Marion.

The ol' guys have constructed our last wheelchair ramp for 2026. We have sorted and stacked the little bit of left over lumber and will use in next year. Our tools have been cleaned and any repair parts neeed will be ordered.

We are now ordering trees and making plans for our 77th annual Christman Tree sale.that starts the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Last Wheelchair Ramp for 2026 costructed Thursday morning Sept. 10, 2026. Great morning to build a ramp.

Thank You HENRY LUMBER for sponsoring this ramp by providing and delivering all of the lumber needed to construct this ramp. Mike Henry and his crew and great to work with. Marion is lucky to have HENRY LUMBER an independent locally owned lumber company.

Jay with Henry Lumber had the lumber on site as he does throughout our ramp building season.

With thir new wheelchair ramp Victoria and Mark can get in and out of their home much easier.

Ramp #21 on a very hot Thursday morning.

ThankYou once again to the MARION COUNTY COUNCIL on AGING. Through their grant we purchased the materials needed to construct this ramp for Wanda. Wanda loves her new ramp and can get in and out of her home much easier now.

As always thank you HENRY LUMBER for delivery the lumber to the construction site bright and early this morning.

We will be building our last ramp for this year next Thursday, weather permitting.

Ramp #18. The ol' guys got a little damp at the start but it all worked out. Has a great crew of Y-Men members. Extremely tight quarters but we only had two or three fights, that I know of.

Ramp #17 in record time with a great crew and great weather. A little over 40 feet of ramp done and gone in about 2- hours. We looked like a colony of gray headed worker ants. Everyone with a job and getting the job done.

Great cool and very comfortable morning to construct Wheelchair Ramp number 16.

Ramp # 15 on a great morning for building a wheelchair ramp.

Jay, with HENRY LUMBER delivered our lumber on site and on time so we could get an early start.

Now Karen can get in and out of her home a little easier. Hope you get many years use out of your new ramp.

We had a good crew and didn't get into too many arguments during the construction. Noone got hurt and we love what we do.

The ol' guys were at it again this morning and completed ramp #14 in just about 2- hours. Now John can get in and out of his home a little easier.

Our lumber was delivered by Jay with HENRY LUMBER. Another great local company with great prople on staff.

Ramp #13 on a very warm morning and inside an enclosed patio. The ol' guys completed the ramp and headed home around 10am.

Also, once again, thank you HENRY LUMBER for delivering the lumber to the work site.

Now Charles Hamm can get in and out of his home a little easier. Unfortunately he is in physical rehab having had part of his leg amputated. When he is released he and his daughter will be able to get in and out a little easier. Best wishes from the Y-Men for a
speedy recovery.
