The Marion County 4H Livestock Judging team attends various competitions in surrounding counties as well as the Ohio State Fair. Practices and meetings are held at various locations through the county depending on the species that will be the focus of the meeting. General meetings are located at the Isla Grande barn. A team is compiled of 4 members and divided depending on age:
Junior Team - Ages 8 -14
Senior Team - Ages 14 - 18 - Senior team will compete at more contest and may travel more. Our coaches are:

Goats - Market and Breeding
Sheep - Market and Breeding
Swine - Market Breeding
The 4H kid will learn basic judging skills along in what makes a good market project. They will learn about Animal correctness, balance, what makes a finished market project and much more. Along with knowledge about the animals the kids will learn some great life skills that will help them in their chosen careers. Some of those skills will be decision making, communication, critical thinking and so much more. This is group is more than a team it has become a family.
