HAS Foundation, Inc H.A.S. Foundation, Inc. was established in 2015 to provide need based scholarships to young, local a A little background about where the idea for H.A.S. came from.

Several years ago, I was approached by someone I had met through selling Usborne Books who was looking for some financial help. She was homeschooling her children and in the final stages of an international adoption of 2 special needs children. Her son had been asked to play on a homeschool based travel baseball team but the family could not afford it. I reached out to someone I knew with a pa

ssion for youth sports to see if he might be interested in helping. Long story short, the boy was able to play on the team. In the meantime, I've heard stories about several other kids around my little corner of the world with a desire to play team sports, but their parents have been unable to pay the fees associated with just recreational sports programs. My goal is to provide a funding source so those kids who want to play aren’t held back by circumstances beyond their control. In addition, it would allow sports organizations themselves to not dip into their already shallow pockets to allow these athletes to play.
