Momcology is a nonprofit patient advocacy organization directly supporting childhood cancer families.

Founded in 2011, Momcology® is a national community-based organization, backed by a professional medical advisory board, directly serving caregivers of children with cancer through facilitated peer support programs, information distribution, partnerships with treatment centers, and engagement in projects and programs that address the ongoing needs of families affected by pediatric cancer from diagnosis, through treatment and into survivorship or bereavement care.

September ends. Our commitment doesn’t.

Today marks the final day of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month🎗, but for families impacted by childhood cancer, there is no end date.

The need for better treatments continues. The need to understand survivorship and late effects continues. The need to support parents, caregivers and siblings continues. The need to remember the children who have died continues. And the need for connection continues.

Thank you to every family, friend, healthcare professional, researcher, partner and supporter who helped us start conversations and amplify the voices of the childhood cancer community this September.

Tomorrow, the calendar turns to October. We keep going.

Because children are, and always will be, More Precious than Gold.

🎗How many times have you been asked, “How did you know?"

🎗We are sharing these potential signs of childhood cancer to encourage awareness and early detection. How each unique child begins to present their malignancy can be different.

🎗The onset of many childhood cancers are acute, meaning they develop and take over the body very quickly. Once diagnosed, children often start chemotherapy very quickly. There is no time to wait.

🎗Although many of these symptoms can easily be the sign of a simple cold or flu, if symptoms persist, or your gut tells you that something is wrong, we encourage you to seek further testing from your child’s pediatrician.

We see you sharing the photos, sharing stories, traveling, honoring your children, remembering, educating, advocating, and doing your best to make people understand a world we all know far too well.
