Something exciting is happening in Llano, and it is a great example of what can happen when education, workforce development, and local industry work together.

Llano ISD has invested an incredible amount of time, planning, and resources into expanding its Career & Technical Education programs, including a brand-new, state-of-the-art welding facility! This investment doesn't just benefit current students, but has created the opportunity to bring high-quality skilled trades training to adult learners right here in our community.

But facilities alone don't build the future.

Workforce Network is proud to partner with Llano ISD school board, administrators and teachers as well as local industry professionals to develop training that reflects what local employers actually need and gives local residents the skills to build sustainable careers without having to leave the area.

Classes begin in September so please share this with those in your life who are looking to go into the Welding Trade.

As a busy nonprofit team, we spend so much of our time focused on serving others, meeting needs, solving problems, and creating opportunities in our community. We do not always make enough time to pause and fill our own cups, but Friday reminded us just how important that is.

Our staff retreat at Camp Buckner gave us the opportunity to step away from our daily responsibilities, strengthen communication, build trust, laugh together, and reconnect as a team. We were also grateful to share a wonderful lunch with members of our board, whose support and leadership make our work possible.

A huge thank-you to the team at Camp Buckner! From the planning process through the final moments of our retreat, they went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed, supported, and cared for. Their beautiful facility and incredible hospitality made the day truly special. We give them a 10/10!

Today, Workforce Network had the privilege of presenting T.J. Crawford with a special award in recognition of his years of dedicated service as one of our electrical instructors.

T.J. has poured his time, knowledge, patience, and real-world experience into our electrical candidates, helping them build not only technical skills, but also confidence, discipline, and a foundation for meaningful careers in the trades.

While T.J. will not be continuing as an instructor, the legacy he leaves behind is one we will continue to celebrate. Every student he taught, every lesson he shared, and every skill he helped develop will carry forward into our local workforce and community for years to come.

T.J., thank you for your commitment to our students, our program, and the future of skilled trades in the Highland Lakes. We are deeply grateful for the impact you have made.

🎉 Congratulations, Dana Murders! 🎉

We are excited to celebrate Dana Murders with R Bank for receiving her graduation certificate after completing the 30-week RMA course.

This program, facilitated by Texas Tech University at Highland Lakes in Marble Falls and funded by Workforce Network, is designed to help local professionals strengthen their skills, grow in their careers, and continue making a meaningful impact through their work without ever having to leave town.

Dana’s commitment to completing this course is something to be proud of, and we also want to recognize R Bank for investing in the continued education and professional growth of their team. That kind of employer support strengthens not only the workplace, but the customers and communities served across the Highland Lakes.
