And apparently, sometimes it comes in a REALLY big box of bananas. 🍌😂

❤️ A big thank you to Manitowoc Golden K Kiwanis!

We had the pleasure of spending some time with the Golden K Kiwanis this week, alongside several other local organizations working to meet the needs of our community.

During our visit, Manitowoc Golden K Kiwanis generously presented $500 donations to The Salvation Army, Peter's Pantry, Grow It Forward, and St. Vincent de Paul!

We are so thankful for their continued support of The Salvation Army and the work we do here in Manitowoc County. But what we appreciate just as much is that their generosity doesn't stop with a donation. Every Christmas season, members of Golden K Kiwanis also volunteer their time ringing bells at our red kettles!

And with kettle season right around the corner, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to mention that we're always looking for more bell ringers! 🔔

A quick Food Pantry update for tomorrow!

Due to a large truck delivery, our Food Pantry will be opening a little later than usual tomorrow, Tuesday, October 27, at 11:00 AM.

Sometimes a hobby can become something so much bigger. 🧶❤️

Mary Helgerson Seiler took something she enjoys doing and turned it into a beautiful way to help children right here in our community.

She handmade an incredible **123 pairs of mittens and 24 scarves** and donated them all to our **Coats for Kids** campaign! 🧤🧣

That is a whole lot of yarn, a whole lot of time, and a whole lot of care put into keeping local kids warm this winter.

Thank you, Mary, for sharing your talent with the children in our community. We absolutely love this! ❤️

And maybe Mary’s project will spark an idea for someone else, too. **What hobby or talent could you turn into something that helps your community?**
