On Tuesday Tommy and I went out to Gibby's Doghouse by Jeff to pick up a very generous donation of Hygiene, Food, Snacks, Batteries, Protein and Clothing for our Military and Veteran community.
Earlier this year, he hosted a fundraiser to send care packages to his son's troop overseas. However, all mail was stopped at his location and still is. Good News: His son is Home Safe for 2 weeks now.
Tommy and I spent the rest of the day inventorying the donation for our records. After talking with Jeff later in the day, we all agreed to make donations to The Haven of Manitowoc County and Hope House of Manitowoc County with part of the donated items as they both have Veterans staying with them. Pictured below with Alex and Jan.
The remainder of the items will be used towards a couple Raffle Baskets and most importantly, Operation Full Plate, a new program for our Military, Veterans and their family.
