With the MCYHA Spring Board Election approaching, we wanted to share a little more information about the MCYHA Board โ who serves on it, how it works, and what the upcoming election process looks like.
The Manitowoc County Youth Hockey Association (MCYHA) is the nonprofit organization that operates the Manitowoc County Ice Center and oversees youth hockey in our community.

MCYHA is governed by a Board of Directors elected by association members prior to the annual Spring meeting, April 7th.
Board members serve 3-year terms. When a term expires, that member may choose to run again or step down, and members vote to fill the open seat.
The board works with volunteers and committees to help guide the program and support the continued success of hockey in our community. The board itself elects its members to the executive committee (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary)

โ ๏ธIn order to participate in this election, Association Members must first register to vote. Registration will remain open through March 27th. Ballots will be distributed March 29th.
Every family's membership (must have a registered skater in the program) includes up to two voters, who are able to vote for as many candidates as there are open seats in that years election. Use the following link to register to vote:

For the April 2026 election, 4 board seats are up for election and 9 candidates are running. Each voter will be allowed to vote for up to four different candidates. Candidate bios will be posted in the near future to the MCYHA website.
