Meet Aaron Jones - aka Mr. Aaron - our 2026 Artist of the Year! ✨

Aaron makes music that gets kids singing, dancing + laughing - but there’s a whole lot of intention underneath the fun. His story-driven songs create opportunities to learn, imagine and connect.

And this September 12, he’s bringing that same philosophy to the third annual Mr. Aaron’s Kid Fest in Concord, featuring original live music with no admission price standing between young families and the experience.

And we have to say: NH has a pretty amazing little community of children’s artists doing this work. They’re making space for quality time, learning, accessibility, community, and some seriously joyful kids.

Aaron is an incredible part of that, and our jury saw an artist who is using his own creativity to make those experiences bigger and more accessible for families across the state.

Congratulations, Mr. Aaron! 👏

Still in high school, already a Licensed Nursing Assistant, Class President, NH HOSA State Secondary Secretary, top-10%-of-her-class student, multi-sport athlete, AND Girl Scout Award Recipient.

Meet Madison Duffy, our 2026 Student of the Year! ✨

For her Gold Award, Madison took melanoma prevention from an idea to real-world impact: peer education, 300 bottles of sunscreen for student athletes, a WMUR appearance, Melanoma Awareness for Teens, and a new Melanoma Awareness Club at concord High.

Our jury saw someone who isn’t waiting to become a leader someday.

Madison already is one.

Last Monday, we brought together young people, parents, educators, business leaders, policymakers, and advocates for NH Nexus at Arts Alley in Concord to connect the dots between early care and education, our workforce, and New Hampshire’s future.

✔️ We listened to lived experiences.
✔️ We challenged assumptions.
✔️ We talked about what’s working, what isn’t, and what we could build differently.

NH Nexus may be over, but the work isn’t. The ideas and conversations from that room are coming with us into campuses, the State House, our advocacy work, and the next generation of NH leadership.

NH Nexus is presented by Northeast Delta Dental and supported by the Couch Family Foundation.
