Welcome to the Fighting Back Scholarship Program—A community of support.

Our mission is to recognize and provide scholarships for individuals who are Fighting Back from a life changing injury or illness through courage, desire, and perseverance. We recognize and provide financial assistance for post-rehabilitative exercise to individuals who have suffered a life changing illness or injury and have endured that experience through courage, desire and perseverance.

At this year's Annual Achievement Night, our community came together in an incredible way. Thanks to your generosity, 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 and welcomed four new participants into our programs.⁣⁣

A Veteran rebuilding strength after a heart attack and stroke. A father working toward getting back to work and enjoying life with his children. Individuals recovering from spinal surgery, brain injury, and stroke who are determined to regain independence, confidence, and hope.⁣⁣

Honored to be selected as one of this year's featured charities for the Whitford Classic!

Our Founder & Executive Director, Scott Dillman, shared the Fighting Back story — a story of resilience, recovery, and the power of community. Thanks to supporters like Taylor Young and the Whitford Charitable Fund Classic team, we can continue providing scholarships, adaptive fitness, wellness programs, and peer support to individuals living with brain injuries, illnesses, trauma, and disabilities.⁣⁣⁣

What an incredible day at the STOGA Lacrosse 5K & 1 Mile Walk! 💙🏃‍♀️☀️⁣

Thank you to the amazing Conestoga Girls Lacrosse team for organizing such a fun, energetic, and meaningful event yesterday that brought the community together in support and movement. From the runners and walkers to the volunteers and supporters cheering everyone on — the energy was truly inspiring.⁣

Matt Piccone’s journey is a powerful example of what determination, courage, and community support can make possible. 💙⁣⁣

After sustaining a spinal cord injury in 2020, Matt committed himself fully to recovery — regaining the ability to walk, drive, and most recently return to work. Training twice a week at Fighting Back, he continues to push himself with grit, positivity, and a willingness to take on every new challenge that comes his way.⁣⁣

After arriving in the United States from the Dominican Republic to receive critical treatment for a brain tumor, Roberto embraced recovery with determination, positivity, and an unmistakable joy that now fills the Fighting Back gym every time he walks through the doors. Today, he continues to give back by volunteering in his community and inspiring everyone around him with his strength and spirit. ⁣
