The countdown is on! Just 5 days until the race! Some important information to know before you run.

Packet pickup is the morning of the race from 7:30-8:30 AM.

The race location is at Fastenal, 4025 S 8000 W, Magna, UT 84044.

Race day schedule is as follows:
​7:30-8:30 AM - Packet Pickup/Race Day Registration
9:00 AM - 5K Race Starts
9:30 AM - Post Race Grab & Go Breakfast
10:15 AM - Kids Fun Run Starts

25 years ago, Bob Kierlin started running with his 10-year-old daughter in road races. Despite often finishing in the last half of the pack, Bob’s love for running never wavered.

From there, the BK5K Road Race was born and Bob was able to start a community event to support youth.

Bob envisioned a road race in his name — one that celebrated every runner’s achievement. Not just the fastest, but everyone striving to outperform their personal best. 🏆

The BK5K now raises hundreds of thousands of dollars. These funds flow through a meticulous grant process, supporting local youth organizations and programs in financial need. Merit matters, and the BK5K Youth Fund Award Committee ensures impactful dispersal.

On race day, trophies will be awarded to the top 3 male and top 3 female runners 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Medals will be awarded to the top 3 in each age group 🏅

Award winners must complete the race on their own. If you are an award winner, we encourage you to stay for the ceremony to pick up your medal. In the age groups of 60+ winners will receive BK5K apparel postrace in lieu of a medal recognizing their achievement.

Not a runner? Walkers are highly encouraged to participate too! :)
