$5 Dollar Friday.

From foster mom Jackie - Auggie has been here almost two weeks. He is a little less stinky, thanks to medicated baths. His eyes and nose are a little less runny due to antibiotics. He is the sweetest boy and loves ear rubs and treats. Auggie has a mouth full of infection that requires a hefty dental. He also needs a neuter to remove nodules and get him ready for adoption.

We know times are tough for everyone right now and rescues across the nation are feeling the effects. Please consider donating $5 to help dogs like Auggie. Every dollar counts, every share spreads awareness, every act of kindness gives dogs like Auggie hope.

Skip a coffee, save a life, give dogs like Auggie a second chance.

If you’d like to help, every dollar counts, and we’ve made it very easy to make a secure donation right from your phone.

Did you know that some dogs are allergic to flea saliva? Every single bite can trigger intense itching, redness, inflammation, and skin irritation. Flea allergy dermatitis can cause dogs to have painful sores, and in Auggie’s case, hair loss and skin infection. Please protect your pets from flea bites by using year-round flea prevention. Auggie is receiving medicated baths, courtesy of his foster mom, Jackie. Foster Mom said he is very well behaved during his baths, and may be enjoying them a bit. He sure is a handsome hunk.

Pupdate on GDR alum Luke and Harley!

Luke was adopted from GDR in March, 2018. At the time he was 5 years old. He was never a super active boy and prefers lounging around under blankets to taking a walk. When my second GDR senior pup, Larry, crossed over the rainbow bridge in October of 2025, GDR reached out with the perfect partner for Luke. Harley was adopted in mid-January 2026. Harley loves to go for walks, play with his toys, and sit outside and watch for squirrels and deer. Both boys sleep in the big bed at night and are completely spoiled and loved to pieces. They are both doing great, and they are happy and healthy.
