In a meeting with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Wednesday, WCMA members - including Matt Lathrop of - had a productive discussion on key dairy policy priorities, including standards of identity, science-based nutrition guidance, and food safety protections. We appreciated agency officials’ affirmation that science will guide their decision-making on issues including ultra-processed food definitions, GRAS, raw milk policy, and dairy labeling - critical areas for consumer trust and confidence in dairy.
