Freeze for Food Freeze for Food is a 5K/10K Walk & Run fundraising event organized by the Returned Peace Corps of Wisconsin-Madison.

This event started in 1982 and we are proudly raising money for Open Doors for Refugees, a local Madison non-profit.

💙 Help us lead the charge for the 46th Freeze for Food 5K/10K Walk & Run! 🐻‍❄️ 👟

We are seeking dedicated community members to join our 2027 Volunteer Planning Committee. This is your chance to step into a leadership role, help shape key aspects of the race, and make next year's event our most successful one yet!

Every step our runners take directly supports Open Doors for Refugees, with 100% of registration fees going straight toward welcoming and supporting our new neighbors in the Madison community. Your work on this committee makes a tangible difference.
