Dr. Kara and Dr. Stephen Svonavec have made a lasting impact at Middle Georgia State University—both in and out of the classroom.
The Dublin campus isn’t just where they work—it’s where they met, fell in love, and were even married (in LIB 202!). Today, that classroom bears their name, honoring their support of the Dublin Health Sciences Expansion.
Their commitment to students goes even further. In 2018, they established a scholarship honoring two women who inspired their belief in the power of education. Since then, it has helped eight first-generation students continue their journeys.
“We always look for ways to support our campus and, more importantly, the students,” they said.
Their story is one of dedication, generosity, and heart—and we are so grateful.
