United in Pink is the resource provider for families affected by a breast cancer diagnosis in Central Georgia.

United in Pink was founded in Macon, Georgia in 2007 with the mission of supporting families affected by a breast cancer diagnosis. We are committed to enhancing the quality of life for the survivor and their families by addressing their unique physical, psychological, relational and educational needs. Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among Georgia females. Family members are also greatly affected by a cancer diagnosis. For example, children who have a parent diagnosed with cancer are more likely to develop emotional, social, cognitive, behavioral and physical problems. We strive to work with each family member to reduce their fears and increase their ability to cope with the changes in their home and in their lives. United in Pink is funded by individual and corporate donors and through our annual fundraisers. All of our programs and services are offered at no charge to the families we serve. Most likely someone you know, and maybe someone you love, has been touched by breast cancer. It is our goal to enrich the lives of these loved ones and to strengthen their families through our programs and services. Join us as we strive to bring together breast cancer survivors, family members, volunteers, donors, medical professionals and supporters and make them UNITED IN PINK.

United in Pink and our Executive Director and Co-Founder, Laura Paxton, are excited to be a part of the conversation this evening about breast cancer, care, and the support women need.

Tomorrow, October 14, at 6 pm the Leadership Lab continues its Women’s Health Series with Leading with Heart: A Conversation on Breast Cancer Crisis and Care.

The event will be moderated by Cyndey Busbee, Vice President of Governance and Organizational Affairs for the Georgia Area of Atrium Health. The panel will bring together Laura Paxton, co-founder and executive director of United in Pink; Morgan Adams, FNP-C, nurse practitioner at The Look Shop; and Taylor W. McLendon, MD, of Renaissance Plastic Surgery.

We hope to see you there to hear these important conversations about breast cancer, care, and the support women need along the way.

After 13 months of treatment, today we celebrate a very special milestone as one of our United in Pink survivors rings the bell!

At United in Pink, we know that every breast cancer journey is different, and every milestone deserves to be celebrated. While ringing the bell may mark the end of one chapter, we know the journey continues in many ways beyond treatment. That's why we're here to offer support, connection, and encouragement along the way.

We’re proud to celebrate alumni who are making a difference in our community!

Executive Director and Co-Founder of United in Pink, Laura Paxton ’93, shared more this week about her organization’s work to support the Middle Georgia community. United in Pink provides financial and emotional support, as well as educational resources, to individuals and families affected by breast cancer.

As we recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, Mount de Sales is proud to show our support. Tomorrow, students and faculty can wear a pink top for just $1, with proceeds benefiting this important cause.

Together, we can show up, spread awareness, and support those in our community facing breast cancer.

✨BOARD MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: DR. CRAWFORD✨

United in Pink feels incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Crawford serving on our Board of Directors. We value his expertise, appreciate his perspective, and always love hearing his insight on what it truly means to support breast cancer survivors and their families.

As a breast surgeon, Dr. Crawford walks alongside patients during some of the hardest moments of their lives. But as he so beautifully reminds us, the journey doesn't end when treatment does.

“Clinical care treats the disease, but survivors also need connection, advocacy, and people who understand what they've been through.” 💗

These words reflect exactly what we believe at United in Pink.
