Girls Dig Deeper Initiative G.D.D.I. is a girls group mentoring and youth development program based in Macon, Georgia. We always value the youth, families and organizations we serve.

Girls Dig Deeper Initiative is a girls group mentoring and youth development program. We provide year-round comprehensive and evidence-based programming and summer enrichment to middle and high school youth girls ages 13-17. Our mission is to foster guidance, support and encouragement to youth girls to DIG DEEP within themselves to access their inner potential and expand their capacity to be a pos

itive influence to themselves and others. Organizational Core Values G.I.R.L.S.

• We believe our youth girls need GRIT to navigate the setbacks and obstacles that hinders progress and achievement in their daily lives. We want them to see setbacks and failures as an opportunity for growth and success.

• We value INTEGRITY as a habit. We are in the “drivers’ seat” of our lives so we must take full control as we proceed through the ups and downs of life, taking responsibility for our actions and holding ourselves accountable.

• We build and maintain positive and healthy RELATIONSHIPS with youth and families in schools, homes, communities and organizations. We encourage our youth to establish positive behaviors and relationships with others.

• The key to leadership is to LEAD with love. We believe in building a leadership culture where our youth, staff, volunteers and families feel cared for, loved and respected.

• SERVICE is an essential part of our organization. We will help them grow and develop by adding tremendous value to their lives. Organization Focus Our goal is to provide mentorship and positive youth development to champion youth girls through the stages of adolescence into adulthood. Our areas of focus are leadership development and personal growth. Our vision is for each girl to go beyond their limits to maximize their full potential to achieve success and a bright future. What is ⁉️
Help is always three digits away! We are helping to raise awareness about the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline and promote accessible mental health support. This year's theme, "988 Reasons: Your reason is reason enough," is a reminder that you don't have to be in crisis to reach out. Whatever you're facing - big or small - your reason for seeking support is reason enough. 

Girls Dig Deeper Initiative serves middle and high school girls ages 13-17. We understand teen girls are facing a lot in their personal lives and we want to continue to provide spaces where the girls are heard, feel valued, supported and cared for.

Girls Dig Deeper Initiative is partnered with Southwest Zone Schools to provide mentoring and coaching services. This resource fair was designed to connect parents and families with valuable school, community, and family resources!

All Southwest Zone families were invited to attend.

Several major food products are under recall nationwide and across multiple states due to health risks like salmonella and listeria. Youth and parents have to pay close attention to recalls, market withdrawals and safety alerts of FDA regulated products.

During our Summer Learning Experience in July, Girls Dig Deeper Initiative had the opportunity to partner with University Of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service and Resource Center for Gardening Day. The girls learned about planting and bearing their own fruits and vegetables🍒🥒🥦🫑🥬🍆🧅🍉🫐🍍🌽 🥕 🥗 and life lessons pertaining to gardening.

Now with all the public health alerts, concerns and warnings about the everyday foods we are consuming, the girls are looking back over Gardening Day as a day that was truly important for them to be apart of. They can start growing some of their favorite veggies.

We received some update photos on the cabbage, collards and Brussels sprouts the girls planted on Gardening Day and it’s truly a success. Growth is happening 🌱 🪏 Fresh vegetables for children, youth and families. From garden to table 💜

Girls Dig Deeper Initiative(GDDI)
received a proclamation from Lester Miller for Mayor honoring GDDI Summer Learning Week July 12th-July 27th 2026

Executive Director and Founder of GDDI, Najiva Timothee says receiving a mayoral proclamation is an incredible honor as she continues to focus on providing high quality, meaningful summer learning experiences for teen girls.

Najiva also provides mentorship throughout the academic school year to teen girls during the school day and in afterschool settings. She says——
“The proclamation we received represents our organization helping to shape the lives of purpose driven young women who will eventually become leaders, professionals, mentors, parents, entrepreneurs and community contributors”

This year marked a milestone of GDDI 3rd Annual Summer Learning Experience. We are truly thankful for the partnerships, the mentors who pour into our girls, the families who support us and the communities that believes in us.

We stand with students, families, educators, school officials and the entire Warner Robins community following today’s tragic event. As an organization who serves teen girls that attend Warner Robins High School, this hits especially close to home.

Teen girls in the Girls Dig Deeper Initiative spent Monday planting and growing fresh vegetables for families at the Brookdale Resource Center, combining hands-on learning with social connection through gardening.
