8-30-26. The last Sunday in August happened to be the fifth Sunday. I truly get excited about this Sunday. #1 the Downtown Rotary of Macon and the Mercer Rotary Student Club and Forest Hill Methodist ladies all converged on Houston Avenue to make fifth Sunday a fantastic event. Our regulars from the Rotary came in and got things started and then the students showed up a little later and took over and they were kind of mentored through the process of preparing the breakfast. They did a great job. LEE with Forest Hills Church brought bags with complete meals in them. This fifth Sunday’s meal was chicken and dumplings. So everything necessary to make it was brought in and put in the bags. Needless to say the 140 folks that we fed were excited about all the attention that was given to them. At Scrambled Eggs for Jesus we figured it out a long time ago that if we would just do what we do in Jesus name, everything would turn out just right. After all, HE is the same yesterday today and forever.

8-23-26. Well, it finally cooled off a little bit. Turned out to be a very pleasant morning. Making Christian church servants and some Community Service Sirvant got together and prepared a wonderful breakfast. In my opinion the grits were a little thick nothing that a good slab of butter wouldn’t take care of. We lost one of our dear folks. Brother Clyde Parish (CJ) was hit by an Auto on Forsyth Road Saturday morning. We will have a memorial service for him in the near future. It went so smooth this morning that by 8:30. We were out of food and over 130 people were fed. Today’s word was how does God measure you? Everyone has value. Jesus told us that how we give is how we will be given. Let us remember HE is the same yesterday today and forever.

8-12-26. Man! Is it hot or not?
It’s been a couple of weeks since I have posted. I will tell you this though it has been busy. We have averaged over 130 folks each week and probably close to 150 this last Sunday. However, God has refreshed everything at the breakfast new tables, chairs, freezer, refrigerator, stove, griddle, coffee pot, juice dispenser, and a new service window cover. We are seeing a lot of new people coming into the neighborhood. Along with them more servants have become part of our mission. People with very loving hearts are willing to come and prepare a fantastic breakfast. Our motto has always been “ If GOD guides,HE provides.” each week. I have always believed that everyone could come together under our banner. That whatever we do, we would do in the name of Jesus. For HE is the same yesterday today and forever.

7-12-26. It was almost 80° by the time we started serving. However, once we got a lot of air moving it cooled off nice in the gym. Our crew got it all together and we actually enjoyed today some Christmas ham that we had had in the freezer. It was yummy. Throw a pancake, some eggs, toast and some grits on the plate with it and you had a meal to die for. Ken was handing out the coffee and the juice this morning and all were happy. At least that’s the way it’s for 100+ folks that came this morning. Our message was God‘s will. Jesus says if you love me then do the Will of the Father. Jesus the same yesterday today and forever.

7-5-26. I love first Sundays. Not only is it communion Sunday, but it sets the pattern for the rest of the month. We’ve been averaging 120 folks every Sunday for the last several weeks. The weather being delightful in the morning is helping the numbers. It’s nice when you can stroll up to the breakfast. By next Sunday God‘s renovation plan for scrambled eggs for Jesus will be completed. New stove, two new refrigerators, new griddle, new coffee, pot, 100 new chairs,a new covering to our serving window and five new tables. Most people would never notice but for me it’s just showing that God is investing in this ministry. Jesus said if we would be faithful in the little things he would give us great things. Jesus the same yesterday today and forever.

6-21-26. What a fabulous day. Happy Father’s Day. What a great day to get a haircut. If you were here early enough and you got a number you could get a free haircut and a nice warm eucalyptus towel afterwards for your face and neck. It brightens up your smile. And then off to see Don for your free glamour shot. Everyone that got a haircut got a towel and Got a picture. I’d like to thank Keshawn Brown and his team of barbers. Alex Dimas for coming and throwing so clippers in the action. Thank you, Don Hester for taking our pictures with your portable Photo Booth. They made a nice present for the men to present to their families.
When we do it I n the Name of Jesus all things are possible. HE is the same yesterday today and forever.

6-13-26. The blessings keep flowing. This week we had the opportunity to receive some vegetable boxes from a giveaway done by the Atrium Navicent Health. We received about 30 boxes of vegetables that weighed about 50 pounds apiece. They contained cabbage, cucumbers, eggplant, onions, potatoes, peaches, blackberries, carrots ,dragon, fruit, pineapples, and asparagus. We broke each box down and made two carry home bags out of each. As it turned out, we were able to make in some cases three bags out of each box. Everyone that came to the Breakfast got a bag to go home with. Even if they didn’t have a home to go to or didn’t want the vegetables we encouraged them to take one anyway, and to bless their neighbor. We know that Jesus taught us to be a blessing to be a giver rather than a Receiver. Nothing has changed. Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever.

5-24-26. Nothing like a hot fourth Sunday. The humidity must’ve been 152%. You could literally sweat just standing there. But inside the gym with a lot of air moving it actually felt good. Made that hot breakfast taste a whole lot better. At least 130 people thought so. Had a great group of Volunteers this morning. They were able to get all the food done and ready to serve before 8 o’clock. Everything is done in the name of Jesus. The one that is the same yesterday today and forever.

5-10-26. Happy Mother’s Day. We started off a little foggy, but our future was bright. Diane had prepared a lovely word of service and wonderful gifts for the mothers in our group. They were reminded of how powerful a mother‘s prayer is. Even to this day, your mama‘s prayers are being fulfilled. Jesus loved his mama too. And on his dying on the cross, he took care of his mother, as Jesus will take care of us. Jesus the same yesterday today and forever.

4-19-26. So I’m thinking wow it’s really warm this morning. I prepped the kitchen and got everything ready for,our Mikado Men’s team to come in and serve breakfast this morning. . I guess it was about 7:45 AM when a great wind came up. We thought we were gonna get a little rain. But the temperature went from 66° to 52° in about 15 minutes. All of a sudden everybody was freezing. This whole week leading up to the Breakfast has reminded me over and over again how quickly things can change. However I know one thing that never changes. His name is Jesus. He’s the same yesterday today and forever.
