☀️ 2026 Summer Playground Scholarship Awards ☀️

The Lynbrook Council of PTAs is proud to sponsor the Summer Playground Scholarship Awards. These honors are presented to graduating seniors who have shown outstanding dedication and made a lasting impact on the Summer Playground program and its campers.

The recipients are selected by Playground Director Mr. Leonard Bruno in recognition of their leadership, enthusiasm, and positive influence throughout their time with the program.

This year’s awards were presented to:

Join us tonight, June 2, at 6:30 p.m. in the Atlantic Avenue building for SCOPE's Child Care Job Fair Informational Session.

SCOPE Education Services is currently seeking qualified candidates for the 2026-27 school year for their Before and After School Child Care Programs in the Lynbrook School District.

Positions include: Directors, Assistant Directors, Group Leaders, and Substitutes

Interested applicants should bring an updated resume and a valid ID.

Interviews will be conducted after the employee information session.

Interested applicants can also interview at a later time if not available on this date.

This Memorial Day, we honor the brave heroes who gave their lives for our freedom 🇺🇸. Thank you to all who have served. Wishing our NYS PTA family a safe, peaceful, and meaningful day of remembrance!

Budget Results

Thank you to all residents who participated in this year’s budget vote and trustee election! We are pleased to announce that Proposition No. 1, the School District Budget, passed by 73% with a vote of 924 to 345 Results of the additional propositions are as follows: Proposition No. 2, Use of the Technology Replacement Fund: 1,003 yes to 265 no. Proposition No. 3, Capital Projects: 835 yes to 347 no.

In addition, congratulations to Tara Aragona and Mathew Hollenstein, who were respectively reelected and elected as trustees to the Board of Education. The vote totals for the Board race were as follows:

Tara Aragona (incumbent): 945
Mathew Hollenstein: 855

“We thank all residents who voted in support of our 2026-2027 school year budget,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Paul Lynch. “This spending plan ensures a fiscally responsible expansion of student opportunities within the district. We look forward to another great year in Lynbrook Schools. ”

Resultados presupuestarios

¡Gracias a todos los residentes que participaron en la votación presupuestaria y en la elección de los fideicomisarios de este año! Nos complace anunciar que la Proposición Nº 1, el Presupuesto del Distrito Escolar, fue aprobada por un 73% con una votación de 924 a 345. Los resultados de las propuestas adicionales son los siguientes: Proposición nº 2, Uso del Fondo de Reemplazo de Tecnología: 1,003 sí a 265 no. Propuesta nº 3, Construcción de un gimnasio y proyectos de capital en Lynbrook High School, North Middle y West End Elementary: 835 sí a 347 no.

Además, felicitaciones a Tara Aragona y Mathew Hollenstein, quienes fueron reelegidos y elegidos respectivamente como fideicomisarios de la Junta de Educación. Los totales de votos para la carrera por la Junta fueron los siguientes:

Mathew Hollenstein: 855
