The Hill and Valley Garden Club

The Hill and Valley Garden Club Motto: "One is nearer Gods' heart in the Garden than anywhere else on earth" We belong to the Shenandoah District of the Va. Federation of Garden Clubs (VFGC).

Our meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month at 1:30 PM at varying locations in Luray. Civic Activities:

Our November program was "Low Profile Designs" presented by Grace Morris , (VFGC flower show judge ,Shenandoah Designer's Guild). Using a flat container, the height should be no more than 1/4 of the width. At least 3 of these techniques must be used: Weaving, braiding, cluster, circles, layering.

Hill & Valley Garden Club will be selling a selection of Daffodils, Tulips, Alliums, Quamash, and other lovely spring colorful bulbs! Also paperwhite bulb kits which are nice for holiday gifts! All proceeds support our High School Scholarship program.

Spring flowers at a Harvest Market???

Our annual Salad Luncheon was held at Wisteria Vineyard. Our speaker was Adam Downing, a Cooperative Extension Agent, from Madison County. He spoke about plant invasives common to our area. Members had a photo op for our upcoming Fall Bulb sale Nov. 8 at the Luray United Methodist Church.
