Angelina Community Theatre is officially FIVE DAYS away from auditions for our upcoming spring musical, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street! Whether you’ve been on stage a hundred times or have always wanted to give theatre a try, we’d love to see you there!

🗓️ AUDITION DETAILS

📅 Date: Monday, November 2nd
⏰ Time: 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM
📍 Location: Pines Theater, Lufkin, TX

🎭 WHAT TO PREPARE:
🎶 Prepare a song approximately 1 minute long to showcase your voice.
📖 Audition sides/script pages will be provided when you arrive.
🖤 Come ready to have fun, meet the team, and potentially become part of this dark, thrilling, and wonderfully twisted production!

🎬 NOT INTERESTED IN BEING ON STAGE?
We need backstage and technical help, too! From set construction and props to all the behind-the-scenes magic that makes a production happen, there are plenty of ways to get involved. You don't have to audition to be part of the ACT family!

🎙️🎄 REHEARSALS ARE IN FULL SWING! 🎄🎙️

Things are coming along GREAT for WWII Radio Christmas, and we are SO excited about what’s taking shape! ❤️

We’ve been spending lots of time in one-on-one rehearsals with our incredible musicians and singers, working through specific songs and all the little details that make this show so special. 🎶✨

Next week, it’s going to be ALL HANDS ON DECK with everyone together, and we absolutely cannot wait! We’re getting closer to having the entire show blocked, and once we get everything in place, we can really start bringing this heartwarming Christmas story to LIFE! 📻🎄

There’s something so special about watching all the individual pieces come together, and we can already tell this is going to be a Christmas experience you won’t want to miss!

🦌🦖🎄 IS IT A REINDEER? IS IT A DINOSAUR? OR IS IT JUST OUR DIRECTOR, ELISE, GETTING INTO THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT?! 😂😂

Around here, we don't just direct a show… WE BECOME THE SHOW. 🤣👏

Elise is clearly taking her role as director of WWII Radio Christmas VERY seriously… and by seriously, we mean she's fully committed to bringing the Christmas magic, the characters, and apparently the entire animal kingdom to life. 😂
Hey say great directors have to wear MANY hats… we just didn't realize antlers and dinosaur claws were part of the job description. 🦌🦖

Honestly, THIS is the kind of energy we're bringing to rehearsals, and we wouldn't have it any other way! ❤️🎭

We're having an absolute blast getting this show ready, and we can't wait for y'all to see what we've been working on!

🎄📻 IT’S BEGINNING TO SOUND A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS! 📻🎄

Rehearsals are well underway for ACT’s WWII Radio Christmas Show, and we are having SO much fun bringing this show to life! ❤️ From learning lines and working through the music to watching this amazing group of talented people come together, we cannot wait for y’all to see what we’ve been working on!

We are SO excited! Angelina Community Theatre’s first-ever Christmas Gala, happening Saturday, December 19th at 7 PM! ❤️

This special evening is being held to help raise funds for our Lights Up Campaign, supporting the future of live theater right here in our community! 🎭✨

And what better way to celebrate than with a little Christmas magic?!

🎙️ WWII Radio Christmas will be bringing the entertainment for the evening, and trust us… this is a show the whole family will love! It’s fun, nostalgic, family-friendly, and filled with songs you already know and love, mixed with some classic 1940s favorites because, of course… it IS a radio show! 📻🎶

We’re already seeing tables fill up, and we would absolutely love to have local businesses, families, organizations, and theater supporters join us for this special night!
