If you have seen our videos the last few weeks or been by Critical Whiskers in person, you've no doubt seen our sweet senior foster kitty LuvLuv. She's usually following us around, napping, or hunting treats. She's been such a joy to have up at the store that when she wasn't acting like herself today we were understandably nervous to figure out why.

Our rescue partner, South Plains SPCA, got her into the vet asap and after a few tests it was determined that LuvLuv has a UTI, which is also causing a fever and some tummy upset. She will also need to go on some special prescription food to keep her kidneys healthy as she ages. Please send LuvLuv all the get well wishes and consider making a donation to the South Plains SPCA to help with her medical and food bills.

Senior kitties deserve all the love and care they need to live their best lives, but they often cost rescues more in medical care bills and can be difficult to find adopters for then the younger kitties. By donating to our rescue partner, they can keep making a difference for the animals in our community, no matter their age or special needs. You can send donations by Venmo: SouthPlains-SPCA (you can put "For LuvLuv" in the note) or visit www.sp-spca.org for more information.

Smokey wants to know, who's coming to see him tomorrow? We still have lots of Sunday availability. So be sure to visit www.criticalwhiskers.com to book your visit or walk-ins are welcome as space allows.

*Psst* Smokey and LuvLuv are on the shop side so even if you don't have time to visit the lounge, you can still pop in and say hi to them.
